WHAT IS A CERTIFICATE OF INHERITANCE (DECERT OF INHERITANCE) AND WHAT IS IT FOR?

The decree of inheritance is a legal document showing the heirs and their rights, requested from the Civil Court of Peace or Notary Public Offices in order to determine who the heirs are in case of a person’s death. In case of death, this document indicates who the heirs of the testator are and who has the right to inherit. That is, unless there is a situation to the contrary, as the heirs mentioned in the deed of inheritance, they are entitled to receive a share of the inheritance of the deceased person.

The deed of inheritance includes the heirs and the proportion of rights that the heirs have. This ratio is of great importance in the distribution of goods. For example, there is a real estate in the title deed and this real estate is distributed to the heirs in accordance with the rate specified in the deed of inheritance, or the money of the testator in the bank is also distributed to the heirs in the specified rate.
